Phillies vs. Rangers Preview: Ranger Suarez vs. Jon Gray

Winners of eight of their last ten games, the Philadelphia Phillies (34-14) return to action on Tuesday night when they welcome the Texas Rangers (24-24) to Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia. The Fightins will send “Mr. Cool” Ranger Suarez to the hill as he bids for his Major League Baseball leading ninth with of the 2024 MLB regular season. The Rangers will send righty Jon Gray to the mound for the 11th time this year.

One notable addition to the lineup for the Phillies, Kody Clemens will start at second base for manager Rob Thomson. Clemens is batting .321 with 3 homers and 10 RBI in just 28 at-bats this season for the Fightins. The 28-year-old is looking to make an impression on the front office and maintain a roster spot when Trea Turner returns from the injured list.

First pitch is set for 6:40 PM.
