NLDS: Phillies Take NLDS Game 4 to Advance to the NLCS

The Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Atlanta Braves 7-2 on Saturday to eliminate the defending World Champions and advance to the National League Championship Series. The Phillies will play the winner of the Los Angeles Dodgers – San Diego Padres series.

It marks the Phillies first NLCS appearance since 2010.

Brandon Marsh sent the Citizens Bank Park crowd into a frenzy with a huge 3-run home run in the bottom of the second to give the Phillies an early 3-0 lead.

Noah Syndergaard to Start NLDS Game 4

Philadelphia Phillies manager Rob Thomson announced Noah Syndergaard as the teams starter for NLDS Game 4 on Saturday.

Syndergaard has started four postseason games in his career with a 2-1 record in those starts. All of Syndergaard’s postseason starts came in 2015-2016 as a member of the New York Mets.

Thomson declined to answer any questions about how Syndergaard will be used in Game 4. Started Bailey Falter and Kyle Gibson are also on the NLDS roster.

NLDS: Phillies CRUSH Atlanta 9-1 to take a 2-1 Series Lead

The Philadelphia Phillies exploded for 6-runs in the 3rd inning and rode another stellar start by Aaron Nola to a dominant 9-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves in NLDS Game 3. The win gives the Phillies an improbable 2-1 series lead going into Saturday’s NLDS Game 4. 

It was the first MLB postseason game at Citizens Bank Park in 11-years and seven days and the atmosphere didn’t disappoint.  South Philadelphia was a madhouse of red and the Phillies gave them every reason to celebrate.

World Series Hero Shane Victorino to Throw First Pitch Before NLDS Game 3

Aloha, Philadelphia!

The Philadelphia Phillies will host postseason baseball for the first time in 11-years on Friday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park. Before Phillies starter Aaron Nola toes the rubber, the 42,792-plus raging fans will be greeted by an old friend.

2008 World Series champion Shane Victorino will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before NLDS Game 3.

Game Times Announced for NLDS Game 3 and Game 4

Red October returns to Citizens Bank Park this weekend when the NLDS shifts to South Philadelphia. Game times for NLDS game 3 and game 4 (if necessary) were announced yesterday.

Game 3 will mark the first postseason home game since game 5 of the 2011 NLDS. The Phillies have a 1-0 series lead over the Braves which means clinching a trip to the NLCS at home is on the table.

Both games are sold out. Limited tickets may be made available closer to game time.
