Rob Thomson Finishes 5th in NL Manager of the Year Voting

We already knew Philadelphia Phillies manager Rob Thomson wasn’t winning the NL Manager of the Year award, but a 5th place finish!?

Topper —who led the Phillies to the World Series after inheriting a team that was 7-games under .500— finished 6-votes behind St. Louis Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol.

Thomson — who led the Phillies to their first NL Pennant since 2009, and did so without Bryce Harper and Zack Wheeler for an extended period— only recorded two first place votes and 36-points total.

It’s a crock and a sham!
