Philadelphia Phillies catcher JT Realmuto and outfielder Kyle Schwarber were announced as 2023 Silver Slugger Award winners. Major League Baseball made the announcement on Thursday evening.
This is Realmuto’s third Silver Slugger Award and Schwarber’s first.
Realmuto had a tremendous second half leading to a .276/.342/.478 season with 22 homers, 84 RBI, and an .820 slugging percentage. The 31-year old slashed .307/. 367/.583 with 14 home runs, 46 RBI, and a .949 OPS. Realmuto won last the Silver Slugger award in 2019.
Schwarber clubbed a league leading 46 home runs in 2022. He drove in 94 with a .504 SLG and a .827 OPS.
