Philadelphia Phillies manager Rob Thomson announced Noah Syndergaard and Ranger Suarez as the Phillies’ World Series Game 3 and Game 4 starters.
Syndergaard is 0-0 with a 1.69 ERA in three appearances this postseason. “Thor” last appeared on October 22 against Atlanta throwing 1.1 innings of scoreless baseball in relief.
Suarez surprisingly pitched in relief on Friday night in World Series Game 1. He threw 0.2 innings allowing one hit and striking out one. The outing corresponded with his scheduled bullpen day and allowed him to be used in a high leverage situation according to Thomson.
