Philadelphia Phillies manager Rob Thomson announced Noah Syndergaard as the teams starter for NLDS Game 4 on Saturday.
Syndergaard has started four postseason games in his career with a 2-1 record in those starts. All of Syndergaard’s postseason starts came in 2015-2016 as a member of the New York Mets.
Thomson declined to answer any questions about how Syndergaard will be used in Game 4. Started Bailey Falter and Kyle Gibson are also on the NLDS roster.
Atlanta is scheduled to start former Phillie Charlie Morton. The Phillies —thanks to a 9-1 shellacking of the Braves in NLDS Game 3— hold a 2-1 series lead. A win would send the Phillies to their first NLCS since 2010.
First pitch is set for 2:07 PM/Eastern from Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia.
