The awards keep rolling in for top Phillies prospect Andrew Painter. The 19-year old was named the Pitcher of the Year in the Phillies system in September. Now he can call himself the Pitcher of the Year in all minor league baseball.
MLB Pipeline, the in-house prospect service for MLB, has named Painter their pitcher of the year. His numbers are just remarkable, 6-2 with a 1.56 ERA and 155 Ks. Painter will likely get a long look by the big club in Spring training.
