The Philadelphia Phillies announced starting pitcher Zack Wheeler has been placed on the 15-day injured list with forearm tendinitis. The move to the IL is retroactive to August 22. Bailey Falter will start in his place on Friday against Pittsburgh.
Wheeler has struggled in his last seven outings going 3-3 with a 4.40 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP.
