As first reported months ago by Crossing Broad, SportsRadio 94 WIP has tabbed the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Mike Sielski and Jody McDonald to partner with Glen Macnow on the weekends. Sielski will join Macnow on Saturday’s and McDonald will take the Sunday shift.
Here’s the annoucement by Macnow on Thurday morning’s WIP Morning Show:
Sielski, the Inquirer’s sports columnist, will begin with Macnow this Saturday. A veteran journalist, Sielski was tabbed to bring a “no nonsense” approach to his pairing with Macnow. Calling Sielski the “next Ray Didinger” wouldn’t be fair, however his role will be similar to the one Didinger played so well.
As for McDonald, this is like getting back on a bike after 20-years and riding it down to the Berlin McDonald’s. Macnow and McDonald formed the “Mac and Mac” pairing that was a staple of then 610 WIP in the early-to-mid 1990’s. The pair have reunited throughout the years and have been holding down the weekends over the past few weeks.
